Foundation Gala Dinner & Auction
The Waukee Community School Foundation's primary fundraiser is an annual dinner and auction. Since the Foundation's inception in 1996, this relaxed, fun event has raised $20,000 upwards to $55,000 annually. The evening begins with a social hour and bidding on dozens of items donated by local businesses and individuals for the silent auction, with a spirited live auction following dinner. Over 400 community members attend this event each year.

Foundation Capital Grant and Educational Innovations Grant
Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation has contributed over $325,000 at the district and building levels.

Waukee Dollars for Scholars
Formed as a division of the Foundation in 2000, Waukee Dollars for Scholars' primary purpose is to provide Waukee Graduates with financial aid and personal encouragement in the form of scholarships. Every graduating senior who fulfills the applications process receives a scholarship. Each year, the Foundation donates at least 30% of its profits to the Waukee Dollars for Scholars Endowment Fund, in addition to making a substantial contribution to the annual Dollars for Scholars fundraising drive.

Gifts Committee
The Gifts Committee of the Foundation was formed to better serve the requests for funding from the districts' staff members and to review requests for capital grants.
Completed forms are reviewed and approved semi-annually in an effort to support the innovative education programs of the school district in the pursuit of excellence.

Special Events Committee
This committee sponsors miscellaneous events during the year to raise both awareness and additional funds for the foundation. An annual golf event occurs during the summer. Other events that have been done in the past include a card and karate tournament.
