Foundation Gala Dinner & Auction
The Waukee Community School Foundation’s primary fundraiser is an annual dinner and auction. Since the Foundation’s inception in 1996, this relaxed, fun event has raised $20,000 upwards to $55,000 annually. The evening begins with a social hour and bidding on dozens of items donated by local businesses and individuals for the silent auction, with a spirited live auction following dinner. Over 400 community members attend this event each year.
Grants
Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation has contributed over $325,000 at the district and building levels.

Waukee Dollars for Scholars
Waukee Dollars for Scholars, a division of the Waukee Community School Foundation, is a locally operated and supported, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is to provide Waukee graduates with financial aid and encouragement in the form of scholarships to pursue secondary education. Every graduating senior who fulfills the application process (see Scholarship Eligibility) receives a scholarship.
Waukee Dollars for Scholars is legally affiliated with Scholarship America, a nationally recognized nonprofit student aid service organization. Scholarship America is the nation’s largest private sector scholarship and educational support organization. Scholarships are funded through the generosity of the community. If you would like to become involved or have any questions, please call the Waukee Community Schools District Office at 987-5161 where you will be put in contact with a board member.
Waukee Dollars for Scholars would like to thank the community for their continued support and to remind seniors that now is the time to pick up applications and sign up for interviews. Dollars for Scholars applications are due the end of February and interview dates are available here.
Thanks to everyone in the community for making this program such a success!
