Welcome to Waukee High School! I invite you to explore our website as it will provide you with a glimpse of the many great opportunities available for our students.

During the 2011-12 school year, Waukee High School will serve approximately 1,100 students in grades 10-12. WHS is a part of the fastest growing school district in Iowa and is located on the western edge of the Des Moines metropolitan area. Our high school facility is a modern, state of the art facility that first opened its doors to students in the fall of 1997. Since 1997, our high school has expanded in 2000, 2003, 2007, and is set to open another expansion of 22 classrooms, Waukee Fieldhouse and other additions in the fall of 2012.

Our dedicated staff works closely with all students to ensure that each student has a positive and personalized experience at Waukee High School. We offer a wide selection of courses including unique special interest, Advanced Placement (AP), and concurrently enrolled classes. Our daily schedule is structured around a 4 X 4 block schedule, where each student is enrolled in four classes daily that are ninety minutes in length. In addition to academics, our students excel in the arts, activities, and athletics. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities to become involved.
